プロレスは、昨日の大量解雇のインパクトが残っており、それに関連した不穏なニュースをお伝えしたいとおもいます。

・トニーストーム

NXTでは、
Sarrayの挑戦を退けたのが
最後の出番になった。

トニーストームが昇格したのが、先月（2021/7/23）。

それから２週間音沙汰ないのが心配されています。

トニーストームがSmackDownに昇格してから、二週間が過ぎようとしている。

奇妙なのは、あれだけハイプ（喧伝）されながら、昇格後トニーストームに、なにも役目があたえられていないことだ。

一方、昇格相手だったゼリーナベガは、好調にTV出演をつづけている・・・。

What makes that even stranger is the fact that Vega was on TV the next week demanding a title shot from Bianca Belair and was about to get one before Sasha Banks returned and it turned into a tag team match. Then, just this week, she got a “championship contender’s match,” a new buzzword WWE is using to promote non-title matches, against Belair.

She lost all of those times, of course. But she at least got on television and was involved. Storm, who had just beaten her, is nowhere to be found.

ASUKAはサンダードーム・エラの立役者だったと言っていい。

しかし、どうだろう。

ライブオーディエンスに戻って、めっきり出演がなくなってしまった。

There’s been no word on what’s going on with Asuka. She helped carry Raw during the empty arena era, but is now a non-factor with the return of live fans.

もう充分BudgetCut（人件費削減）しているWWEですが・・・

昨日の解雇のさらに続編がある模様。

これは近年にもない解雇継続になっているみたいです。

WWE Official On If More Releases Are Expected

匿名を条件で、WWE上層部が語ってくれたところによると、解雇はさらに続くらしい。

2016-2020年には予定しなかったことらしい。

つまり、2021年は、異常事態ということだ。

2018年ごろ、WWEは、さらなる世界進出に向け、タレントを囲い込んだ。

しかし、2020年のコロナ大流行が、すべてを泡にしてしまったのだ。

Speaking under the condition of anonymity, the official noted while more departures will happen, they personally think 2021 will be an outlier in terms of frequency and the level of talent being let go. It was also said mass releases hadn’t been discussed for nearly four years from summer of 2016 until the beginning of 2020.

They also recalled WWE being in “talent stashing” mode back in 2018 where WWE looked to collect wrestlers, develop Performance Centers around the word, and then provide talent (native and international) with some traveling between each territories.

After about a year, that plan was slowed and a lot of talent was “parked” as NXT on USA becoming the focal point. Then the pandemic happened and that really put a stop to international plans.
