こんにちは、ヤマガタです。・・・一夜にして、ですね・・・ビンスマクマホン電撃復帰です。
昨日（日本時間2023/1/7）↑情報が出回ってからメディアに考えさせる間も与えませんでした。

引退したのは2022/7/23でした↓
１年も黙ってませんでしたね。

取締役にビンスマクマホンが復帰することを、お伝えいたします。これは取締役会長兼共同CEOステファニーマクマホン、共同CEOニックカーン、CCOトリプルHによって決定されました。同時に、Michelle Wilson と George Barriosも取締役会に迎えることになります。
ビンスマクマホンの復帰についてですが、上層部の意思決定に影響を与えるようなものではなく、WWE内にあるマネジメント新チームに加入するかたちになります。

As Vince McMahon stated yesterday, “WWE has an exceptional management team in place, and I do not intend for my return to have any impact on their roles, duties, or responsibilities.
・・・というわけで、WWEの取締役は以下の10人の布陣になるそうです。

権力闘争の結果かなにか知りませんが、Ignace Lahoud と Man Jit Singh の２名が取締役を降板したもよう。
不気味な影としかいいようがありませんが・・・やはりステファニーとトリプルHがトップになった限り、ビンスマクマホンの復帰は避けられなかったのかも知れませんね。
WWEの株価が注目されます。

追記１：画策されたか？
日本の方は興味ないかも知れないですが、このビンス復帰は大地震が起きたみたいなものなんですよ。
ちょっと昨日の不穏な動きから辿りなおしてみましょう。
一番注目されるのは↓この叙述です。
ビンスマクマホンが手に入れようとした肩書は、Executive Chairman［編集部注：詳細省略しますがTVとの番組放送契約の交渉とかに当たるみたいです］だった。しかし、取締役会の承認が得られなければ復帰は認められない。
そこで去年（2022年）12月、ビンスマクマホンは取締役会メンバーに手紙［編集部注：Eメールでしょうね］を送った。かねがね取締役会の反応は良好だったが、なによりスキャンダルがあったので、その捜査が終るまで大人しくしてほしい、と返答した。つまり暗黙裡に却下。なによりビンスマクマホンの復帰はWWE株価の暴落を招く。
しかしビンスマクマホンが食い下がった。スキャンダルの損失であろうが株価暴落であろうが、ポケットマネーで解決してやる、と強弁。捜査終了まで待てないよ（たかがオンナだろ！）という勢い。

McMahon is said to believe he will assume the role of executive chairman upon returning. WWE’s Board of Directors would need to approve this, however.
McMahon sent a letter to WWE in late December detailing his desire to return in order to spearhead a sales process. WWE’s board responded to McMahon that they are willing to work with him on a review process for a sale but unanimously agreed McMahon returning to the company was not in the best interests of shareholders.
The board also inquired as to McMahon’s commitment to repay company expenses relating to the investigation into allegations of hush money payments. They also asked McMahon not to return to the company while government probes into the matter are ongoing.
McMahon responded that he is willing to cover reimbursement for reasonable expenses incurred due to the investigation that were not covered by insurance. He did not agree to not return to the company while government probes are ongoing, however.

・・・で、こっから勘ですけどね。取締役会にMichelle Wilson と George Barriosが入って、Ignace Lahoud と Man Jit Singh が抜けたじゃないですか。これが要するに、ビンスマクマホンが取締役会に承認されるためにやったテコ入れだったとおもうんですよ。

ビンスマクマホン復帰はWWE内に大幅な地殻変動を起こした。一週間前かそこら（2022年12月）に、彼の復帰は取締役会”満場一致”で却下されたはずだった。ビンスマクマホンは、そこで取締役会のテコ入れを仕掛けた。この背景には、たくさんのドラマがあったに違いない。まだビンスマクマホンがWWEオフィスを出入りしはじめたという形跡はない。今後事件は全貌をみせるだろう。
Obviously a ton happened behind the scenes because the board voted unanimously barely a week ago to not allow him back, and he responded by starting to change the board. We have a ton more in the issue even though McMahon was not yet put back in that position at the time that story was completed.
直近アメリカで書かれた記事が５時間前ですから、継続中の話ですね。なにより、メディア関係者はWWEの株価を注視しているみたいです。
いまのところは変動なし↓という認識だとおもいます。

追記２：やはり権力闘争か
やはりIgnace Lahoud と Man Jit Singhは権力闘争の結果、追い出された、という線が濃厚です↓Man Jit Singhのみについての記述ですが・・・
Man Jit Singhは、ビンスマクマホンの例のスキャンダル口封じ金問題で、捜査を優先させたいとしていた急先鋒だった。もっとも彼が追い出されたことは社内では、さほど驚愕をもって受け止められなかった。
Sean Ross Sapp notes that Man Jit Singh, who resigned from WWE’s Board of Directors yesterday when Vince McMahon officially returned, was the internal lead investigator of McMahon’s hush money payments. Insider said Singh pushed hard for WWE to “do their due diligence and investigate” when the scandal was revealed last year. Singh’s resignation was described as the “least shocking” news of the day.
